Arctic Monkeys announce UK and Ireland tour for 2023
The Sheffield band will hit the road this summer in support of their new album 'The Car'
Arctic Monkeys have announced a massive UK and Ireland tour for 2023, following the release of their seventh studio album 'The Car'.
The band will play 16 shows across the country, starting at Bristol's Ashton Gate Stadium on May 29 and ending at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park on June 25. They will also perform three nights at London's Emirates Stadium and two nights at their hometown Hillsborough Park in Sheffield.
The tour will see Arctic Monkeys play songs from their entire discography, including classics like 'Mardy Bum', 'Do I Wanna Know?' and 'I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor', as well as tracks from their latest record 'The Car', which came out on October 21.
'The Car' is the band's first album since 2018's 'Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino', and features the singles 'There'd Better Be a Mirrorball', 'Body Paint' and 'Sculptures of Anything Goes'. The album has received critical acclaim from fans and critics alike.
Arctic Monkeys will be joined by special guests The Hives and The Mysterines on the tour, adding to the excitement of the live shows. The Hives are a Swedish rock group known for their energetic and catchy songs like 'Hate To Say I Told You So' and 'Walk Idiot Walk'. The Mysterines are a rising Liverpool trio who have impressed with their raw and powerful rock sound.
