KITE Festival 2023: A New Festival of Ideas and Music Returns to Oxfordshire

KITE Festival, the UK’s first festival that combines music and ideas, is back for its second edition at the stunning Kirtlington Park in Oxfordshire from 9th to 11th June 2023. The festival will feature an eclectic mix of era-defining icons, contemporary stars and emerging talent driving music forward, as well as a series of thought-provoking conversations with some of the most influential and inspiring figures from various fields.

The music lineup includes Hot Chip, Suede, Candi Staton, Baxter Dury, Django Django, Sofia Kourtesis, Sarathy Korwar, Lynks, Elkka, Mauskovic Dance Band, Decius, DJ Paulette, Prima Queen and August Charles. They will perform across four stages, showcasing a diverse range of genres and styles, from indie rock and synth-pop to disco and world music.

The ideas lineup features former Prime Minister Sir John Major, comedian and writer David Baddiel, actress and author Dame Joan Collins, poet and podcaster George The Poet, activist and broadcaster Yassmin Abdel-Magied, former Governor of Hong Kong Chris Patten, historian and presenter Rana Mitter, author and motivational speaker Simon Sinek, economist and journalist Martin Wolf, screenwriter and producer Sally Wainwright, political strategist and author Alastair Campbell, comedian and presenter Mel Giedroyc, columnist and critic Marina Hyde, chef and judge Prue Leith, politician and author Rachel Reeves, historian and author Peter Frankopan, environmentalist and writer Gaia Vince, doctor and comedian Adam Kay, journalist and commentator Polly Toynbee, food writer and entrepreneur Henry Dimbleby, broadcaster and DJ Nihal Arthanayake, author and journalist Elizabeth Day and musician and actress Susanna Hoffs. They will share their insights, stories and opinions on a variety of topics, from politics and culture to science and health.
